Volunteering at the Library

Volunteering at the Library can be a satisfying and rewarding experience. You will be giving your time to help your community and we will try to match the job with your special skills.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Shelve books and keep the books in order

  • Post approved fliers on bulletin boards and maintain the community information center

  • Assist with Children’s programs

  • Maintain the Library’s albums of press coverage and photos

  • Assist with exhibits and displays

  • Assist with getting materials ready for the collection

  • Assist with special projects

If you are able to give at least 2 hours per week on a regular basis, please complete and submit the Volunteer Application Form.

Please note that Library volunteers are not covered under the Town's Workers' Compensation policy because they do not meet the definition of employees of the Town.
