The Bethel Public Library subscribes to several research resources for your use. Access is free but you will need to have a current Bethel Public Library card to access databases from outside the library.

Academic OneFile
Academic OneFile includes over 60 million articles from over 11,000 periodical titles, many going back to the 1980s. A good general-purpose periodical index with journals and popular magazines. Many of the articles are full-text. Designed primarily to support undergraduate-level research, the database is useful to anyone seeking information on topics in the areas of current events, general sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
Britannica Online Library Edition
This database contains comprehensive content for all patrons-from elementary students to college students, from business professionals to seniors. Extensive, reliable and thorough coverage of numerous subjects provided in encyclopedia articles, dictionary and thesaurus, as well as over 29,000 images and more than 1,700 animations, audio clips, and videos.
Global Reference Center
Database includes Korean, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese versions of Encyclopædia Britannica. The content includes encyclopedia articles as well as photos, graphic, animations, videos, and audio clips.
InfoTrac Junior Edition
Multi-source, curriculum based reference tool for junior high and middle school students. An iCONN database.
InfoTrac Student Edition
Multi-source, curriculum based reference tool for high school students. An iCONN database.
Kids InfoBits
For children from kindergarten through grade 5; includes full-text age appropriate magazines, images, encyclopedias, maps, etc. An iCONN database.
Merriam Webster's Unabridged Connect from Library Connect from Home
Webster's Third New International Dictionary (Unabridged) allows users to find words or phrases that appear within the different elements of a dictionary entry. One can also choose from several different types of searches to find word histories, see examples of how a word is used, or solve word puzzles.
